Interreg Atlantic Area joins its counterparts Interreg North-West Europe and North Sea in presenting the first results of the stakeholders consultation on the future of European transnational co-operation. The representatives of the Interreg programmes will answer questions about the main lessons learnt, what needs to change and what can be improved, in a panel with keynote speaker John Bachtler, Director of the European Policies Research Centre at the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow, and Member of the Group of high-Level specialists on the future of Cohesion Policy.

The session is part of Interreg North-West Europe Annual Event, which will bring together beneficiaries and those responsible for managing European Cohesion Policy programmes. At a time when reports on the results of the stakeholder and citizen consultations are being finalised, the session will serve to assess the main contributions received and promote a debate and a critical thinking process on how Interreg should be designed post-2027.

In its 2024 edition, Interreg North-West Europe Annual Event is taking place on 5th and 6th of November, at Croke Park, Dublin (Ireland). The event will also emphasise how cooperation at transnational level brings tangible change to people living, and it will host an exhibition area with project stands, project idea posters, and representatives from Interreg Atlantic Area, Interreg Europe, Interreg North Sea and Interreg Northern Periphery and Arctic.
