Interreg Atlantic Area programme, together with the BLUEBIO ALLIANCE association, a partner in the MARINNONET project, will mark Europe Day on May 9, at 3 pm, at the ECOMARE facilities (Aveiro), showcasing the application of the European funds to advanced research and innovation technologies in the area of marine bio-resources.
Led by the University of Vigo and with the participation of Portuguese, Spanish, French and Irish research institutions and companies, the MARINNONET partnership has been testing models for transferring technologies to the private sector. The event on 9 May will demonstrate two new technologies developed by the Portuguese 3B's Research Group from the University of Minho, which are currently being tested at the Comur Canning Factory and Horta dos Peixinhos, companies in the Portuguese Centro Region.
The demonstration is aimed not only at the University of Aveiro's students and research community but also at potential beneficiaries of European funds in the innovation sector who are motivated to contribute to the Atlantic Ocean's potential.
