The Interreg Atlantic Area is a European transnational cooperation programme between Portugal, Spain, France, and Ireland, with the Management Authority in Norte Regional Coordination and Development Commission (CCDR Norte). It is funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) within the context of Cohesion Policy. The programme's mission is to be at the forefront of the transition towards a unique Atlantic Area Region that is carbon-neutral and resilient to climate change. The programme will promote the integration of sustainable economic development, social well-being, and the preservation of biodiversity.

For the implementation of the Interreg Atlantic Area, the Management Authority is responsible for the programme's information systems, namely the website, the Atlantic Connection Hub to promote partnerships, and the SIGI 21-27 platform for submitting and managing applications.

In managing these information systems, it is committed to protect the personal data of its clients/users, which is why it has adopted the privacy policy explained here for the processing of data in accordance with the European Data Protection Regulation.

In addition to the Interreg Atlantic Area Managing Authority, other parts of the programme have access to their personal data, such as the members of the Monitoring Committee, representatives of the National Authorities, Joint Secretariat team, representatives of the Audit Authority, representatives of the Group of Auditors, representatives of the receiving organisation of payments made by the European Commission and representatives of the accounting body.


Conservation

 

The Interreg Atlantic Area ensures that personal data is conserved for the period of time strictly necessary for its treatment, in accordance with the purpose and in compliance with the legislation in force. After this period, it reserves the right to retain them for those associated with public, statistical, historical or scientific purposes, undertaking to adopt the appropriate conservation and security measures.

Interreg Atlantic Area 2021-2027 defines annual communication plans based on strategic objectives like raising awareness about the Programme, attracting relevant partnerships, supporting the implementation of good quality projects, and promoting efficient governance. To reach these objectives, communication actions are defined on different channels, such as the social media Linkedin, Twitter, and Instagram.

These accounts are managed by the Joint Secretariat in a context of transparency and interaction with the users regarding the messages we share, but we do not accept comments that are either offensive in themselves or offensive to other users.

We ask our followers to avoid inflammatory, insulting or offensive language. Please show respect to fellow users and the fundamental principles we all share.
