The Interreg Atlantic Area team is taking part in the seminar promoted by IGF-Autoridade de Auditoria on assessing the risk of fraud in European funds. The event will take place in Lisbon from 23 to 24 September and will bring together several institutions with expertise in managing structural funds.
The event was opened by the Portuguese Minister of State and Finance, Joaquim Miranda Sarmento, who emphasised the importance of the topic for greater efficiency in the application of European funds.
In addition to the Portuguese authorities, representatives of European institutions such as the European Antifraud Office and the Joint Audit Directorate for Cohesion contributed to sharing methodologies and enhancing strategies for European programmes to prevent and combat fraud.
