Renewable energy sources such as solar, wind, and hydropower are highly dependent on weather conditions and the availability of natural resources. To optimize sustainable electricity production, accurate forecasting models for renewable energy are essential, and these require precise weather data collection.
To address this need, the HY4RES project, supported by the Interreg Atlantic Area, is launching the Weather Forecast app for renewable energy prediction. The app provides over 30 weather variables, with forecasts available up to 15 days in advance, helping users plan their energy management strategies based on weather predictions.
This app will be a key tool for obtaining critical information on renewable energy, helping optimize energy balance. Forecasts are location-specific, ensuring that users receive precise data for their area. By offering accurate predictions for solar and wind energy production, the app enhances the efficiency and sustainability of energy systems.
