The aim of this competition is to identify and recognise innovative projects in the field of the blue economy that contribute to sustainable development with a creative, sustainable and efficient approach to the use of marine and coastal resources. The categories in which the ideas or projects can be presented are the blue economy sectors, such as fishing, aquaculture, offshore renewable energies, transport and logistics, as well as transversal categories in the blue economy, such as women’s, digital, ecological and social entrepreneurship.
To participate, you must present their idea or project in a short 30-second video presentation, through which you will apply to be selected in the competition.
After the deadline for submission 4 May, the 30 best ideas or projects will be selected and will be assisted by experts to produce a professional video and compete for the award in the category corresponding to the theme of their idea/project. In June, an event with the finalists will take place, bringing together professionals and experts in the field of the blue economy, which will help to increase networking and establish new collaborations of the projects presented.
Participation may be individual or collective and there will be prizes for the winners, such as representation at an on-site event in Santiago de Compostela, a certificate of participation in the competition, and the inclusion in an audio-visual catalogue of projects.
