The Blue Shuttle project, supported by Interreg Atlantic Area, is seeking innovative digital and technological solutions to address key challenges in the Blue Bioeconomy. This initiative is an opportunity to develop and test pioneering solutions that promote sustainability, efficiency and competitiveness, accelerating the digitalisation of the Blue Economy in the Atlantic Area.
This call is looking for cutting-edge digital and technological solutions in line with these challenges:
- France: Use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) to optimize wastewater treatment with microalgae.
- Spain: Development of Unmanned Ground Vehicles (UGV) for managing Great Cormorants.
- Portugal: Implementation of Smart Solid Waste Integrated Management System (SWIMS) for digital and green transformation in aquaponics waste and resource management.
Who can apply?
SMEs, Startup, and Technology & Innovation Centres from the Atlantic Area (Portugal, Spain, Ireland and France) are invited to propose solutions that address critical needs in marine living resources and Blue Biotechnology.
Selected participants will take part in a 12-month pilot project, working closely with the organizations that proposed the challenges to implement and refine their solutions. Each solution provider will receive financial support of up to 15.000€ (excluding VAT) to develop the most innovative solution.
