The European Commission recently launched the new publication "Bridging the Gap: EU Cohesion Policy 2014-2020" taking an overview of the implementation of European funds in the Member States during the previous economic cycle. The publication allows us to understand how Cohesion Policy is vital in reducing economic and social disparities and promoting harmonious development across the continent.
The reference to cooperation programmes highlights the 15 transnational programmes that used European funds for investments shared simultaneously by several member states. The publication explains how these programmes improve cohesion, overcome administrative barriers, celebrate shared culture and heritage, and turn mutual challenges in a variety of fields into opportunities.
During the 2014-2020 cycle the Interreg Atlantic Area supported 71 projects, promoting cooperation between 1147 partners and associated partners across the Atlantic regions. Learn more about the delivering results.
