The Atlantic Arc Commission, a working group of the Conference of Peripheral Maritime Regions, is holding a seminar on 20 September on challenges and opportunities to consolidate sustainable tourism in the Atlantic Area. The meeting takes place in Cantabria (Spain) and is designed for building up an Atlantic flagship project on Sustainable Tourism.
Sandra Silva, Managing Authority of Interreg Atlantic Area, will introduce a state of play of cooperation on tourism at the Atlantic level in a debate with Ramune Genzbigelyte Venturi, Policy Officer of DG GROW, and a member of the European Parliament. The seminar will also be attended by representatives of the Atlantic regions and the conclusions will be reported by Eva Guillermina Fernandez Ortiz, Regional Minister for Culture, Tourism and Sport of the Government of Cantabria.
The working group Atlantic Arc Commission is committed to the task of promoting regional interests to European bodies and Member States. This role as a spokesperson is demonstrated through the production of strategic documents, an active participation in consultations on European policies, and a permanent exchange with representatives of EU and national institutions.
