The Managing Authority of Interreg Atlantic Area will attend the 1st Atlantic Steering Committee under the Irish Presidency on the 18th of February. Promoted by the Assistance Mechanism for the Atlantic Action Plan, the meeting will gather European, national, regional, and local representatives of the Atlantic seaboard countries to deepen European maritime cooperation.
The agenda includes the reference to opportunities and good practices of investments supported by European funds, as well as updating from the Interreg Atlantic Area on Calls 2 and 3.
According to the Irish Presidency’s statement, “the Atlantic Ocean has always been a source of opportunity, but it is also a shared responsibility. As we embark on our Presidency, Ireland is committed to working with all stakeholders—regional, national, and international—to ensure that the Atlantic Strategy delivers for people, businesses, and ecosystems”.
