The future Interreg Atlantic Area programme: preparation of the 2021-2027 period
As agreed by the Monitoring Committee in November 2019 in Santiago de Compostela, a Task Force was created for the preparation of the future Interreg Atlantic Area programme. The Task Force is composed by representatives of four programme Member States (Portugal, Spain, Ireland and France), the Managing Authority, the Joint Secretariat and the European Commission. The main aim of this Task Force is to prepare the Interreg Atlantic Area Programme 2021-2027, all relevant documents related with the programming process and the future programme structures.
In 2020 meetings will be chaired by the French Presidency of the Monitoring Committee in close collaboration with the Managing Authority.
- First meeting - 21.01.2020 in Paris
- Second meeting - 21.04.2020, held online due to Covid-19 restrictions.
The Task Force will meet several times on a regular basis to define thematic priorities and allocation of funds to those priorities, until the final review of the Cooperation Programme. In the coming months, a public tender will be launched with an invitatin to external consultants to prepare the future Interreg Atlantic Area 2021-2027.
