Lisbon hosts the European Maritime Day in 2019
Interreg Atlantic Area will participate on this annual event on maritime affairs and blue growth
The European Maritime Day is an annual event whose aim is to highlight the role that oceans and seas play in the lives of coastal communities and all citizens of the European Union, as well as in the field of sustainable growth and employment in Europe.
In 2019 this event will be celebrated on May 16-17 at the Lisbon Congress Centre, in Portugal. The main focus will be on blue entrepreneurship, innovation and investment to transform traditional maritime sectors and boost emerging technologies and value chains.
It targets maritime professionals, entrepreneurs and ocean leaders from Academia, NGOs, businesses, governments and public institutions. Stakeholders will find the European Maritime Day a great opportunity to connect with strategic partners, get visibility for projects, gain new insights into the evolving EU policy and funding landscape and provide input into European Maritime Policy formulation.
The Interreg Atlantic Area will be part of this big event, stay tuned on our website.
