5th coordination meeting and study visits of the Atlantic Social Lab project
Atlantic Social Lab aims to develop and promote social innovation approaches and methods to give response to emerging social issues of the Atlantic Area
Santiago de Compostela City hosted the 5th coordination meeting and study visits of the Atlantic Social Lab project on the 30th and 31st October 2018.
During the meeting partners addressed the implementation activities of the project. On the first day partners participated in the Interregional Working Groups and each partner presented updated information on the pilot actions performance. Representatives of the 4 workings groups - welfare services, public engagement, green economy and social economy - worked together in their fields of work. After the working sessions, partners visited two projects financed by the participatory budget programme "Compostela Decide": a children's playground and an urban vegetable garden situated in the city.
On the second day, Santiago de Compostela team organised two study visits related with social economy and green inclusive economy, ASPAS Association (an Association of parents of people with intellectual disabilities) and COREGAL, a company dedicated to a comprehensive environmental management that creates quality employment for people with disabilities.
Atlantic Social Lab is an European project that aims to develop and promote social innovation approaches and methods to give response to emerging social issues of the Atlantic Area, both within citizens, third sector and social enterprises as well as the public sector. The partnership consist of 9 partners that cover all the eligible countries of the Atlantic Area and is composed of 5 local & regional public organisations and 4 Universities, third sector organisations & associations.
