Clean energy and the sea: how do we promote the use of renewable energies to foster energy transition in the Atlantic regions?
The Interreg Atlantic Area is organising a digital workshop at the European Week of Cities and Regions on the 12th of October (14:30-16:00 Brussels time).
The workshop “Clean energy and the sea: what future for Atlantic regions?” aims to address the contribution of European funds and the importance of transnational cooperation in the delivery of innovative strategies, solutions, good practices and policies for the use of renewable energies, namely through solutions based on the sea.
António Cunha, President of CCDR-Norte (Norte Region of Portugal) and Madalena Alves, President of Foundation for Science and Technology (Portugal) will share their views on the policies and strategies in place to use clean energy for a green transition in the Atlantic region. Also projects PORTOS and BLUEGIFT will showcase their contribution to this topic, bringing innovative strategies to deliver solutions to the maritime sector. The workshop is moderated by Sandra Tavares da Silva, Executive Manager of the Atlantic Area Managing Authority.
