Atlantic Area Monitoring Committee and Task Force meetings held in Faro
On the agenda were the current programme implementation and the launch of the future programme
The Atlantic Area Monitoring Committee met on the 5th of July in Faro, Portugal, to discuss the implementation of the programme and the next steps to be taken. This meeting was chaired by the Portuguese Presidency of the programme, Agência para o Desenvolvimento e Coesão.
After the meeting, the Universidade do Algarve, partner in several Atlantic projects, received this delegation to present the work that is being carried out and the results achieved so far by projects JONAS, BLUEHUMAN and ACCES2SEA. These projects are focused on the study and protection of the Atlantic marine environment, thus contributing to the European blue growth.
The following day, 6 July, the Task Force for the set up of the Atlantic Area 21-27 programme also met to decide on key issues for the launch of the next programme. You can following this link to know more about the Atlantic Area programme 2021-2027.
