ALICE is organising a webinar dedicated to Atlantic landscapes integrated management

The portuguese case study methodology applied to help local and regional agents on land management will be on the agenda

ALICE project is organising the webinar "Conservation of biodiversity and ecosystem services through a participatory approach: An integrated management of the Atlantic landscapes ", to be held next 15 December (14:30-16:30 UTC).
 
This project works on 5 practical cases of landscape and ecosystem management, one of them on the Paiva river and its contour, a territory located in the Norte region of Portugal. In this webinar, partners 'Universidade de Trás-os-Montes e Alto Douro' and 'BC3 Basque Centre For Climate Change' will present this Portuguese case study methodology applied to help local, regional and national agents in the implementation of land management strategies. The research platform ARIES: Artificial Intelligence for Environment & Sustainability, an innovative tool to help data-based decision making will also be presented on this event.

ALICE is funded by Interreg Atlantic Area and aims to promote sustainable investments in Blue-Green Infrastructure Networks through the identification of the benefits of Ecosystem Services delivered at the terrestrial-aquatic and land-sea interface in the Atlantic Region. The consortium is composed of 11 partners from Portugal, Spain, Northern Ireland, France and the United Kingdom, and has a total budget of 3 million euros to implement the project over a 3-year period.
