How does Interreg Atlantic Area contributes for the energy transition and decarbonisation of Europe?
Learn about two Interreg projects that use alternative fuels as green hydrogen for cleaner vehicles
Under the initiative of Interreg and Interact programmes, another article is released to address the importance of transnational cooperation in promoting a greener Europe.
Projects SEAFUEL (Interreg Atlantic Area) and HECTOR (Interreg North West Europe) are two good examples of projects that are exploring the use of alternative fuels such as green hydrogen for cleaner vehicles.
"Nearly 1 million public recharging and refueling stations will be required by 2025 for the 13 million low-emission vehicles expected in Europe. The EU supports the deployment of recharging and refueling points in areas with low access levels. European Territorial Cooperation (Interreg) programmes recognise the value of hydrogen and are strongly engaged in supporting projects that can contribute to releasing a new generation of technologies powered by sustainable hydrogen."
