ATLANTIC GEOPARKS launches new app to promote Geotourism in the Atlantic Area
The app highlights and promotes key geoheritage sites and local businesses in 11 destinations
The Atlantic Geoparks project has launched a ‘Geotours’ app to promote Geotourism in the European Atlantic Area. The new app features a selection of ‘Geotours’ in eleven partner destinations along a the new transnational European Atlantic Geotourism Route. The tours are designed to assist visitors to these regions to explore the unique landscapes and cultures of each of the destinations.
The app highlights and promotes key geoheritage sites and local businesses in each of the destinations. It allows the visitor to navigate their way along themed routes from walking trails and gourmet tours in historical mining regions to coastal treks and cultural quests in volcanic landscapes. It encourages visitors to really get under the skin of the destinations on the European Atlantic Geotourism Route. The Atlantic Geoparks aims to forge new tourism links along a defined Atlantic route through highlighting the common interests and heritage of the destinations along the route.
The new app is available to download on IOS and Android.
