ATLANTIC SOCIAL LAB project organises a Workshop on Social Clauses

This event will be focused on the integration of social clauses within the local procurement procedures

On the 13th September Avilés Municipality (Spain) will be organizing a workshop on Social Clauses. The event held within the project Atlantic Social LAB will be attended by all project partners and will have as keynote speaker Mr. Javier Palmero Zurdo, Deputy Head of Unit G3, Procurement legislation and enforcement at the European Commission.

The workshop will addressed topics connected to how to integrate the social clauses within the local procurement procedures.

Avilés Municipality integrated the social clauses in its public procurement 9 years ago and as a main result 561 people at risk of exclusion have been hired to develop works and services for the Municipality. Aviléz Municipality is at the moment revising the public procedures to enlarge the use of the social clauses to other local public bodies.
