Panorama Magazine highlights the value of Interreg transnational programmes

Atlantic Area project AYCH featured as an example of good practice in the entrepreneurship category

The last edition of Panorama Magazine, a publication of the European Commission dedicated to Regional Policy, puts the spotlight on transnational cooperation between regions in Europe and its benefits to citizens, in sectors such as environmental risks, energy efficiency and entrepreneurship.

The Interreg transnational programmes jointly contributed to the article “Interreg: the European spirit in action” showcasing Interreg projects that tackle common challenges and needs “that are not just matters of national concern” demonstrating that “cooperation across national borders and in wider European areas is vital to protect both nature and people”.

Interreg Atlantic Area contributed to this publication with project AYCH, Atlantic Youth Creative Hubs. The project supports young people by encouraging creativity and innovation and offering support for the creation of startups, training and helping them realize their business ideas. The project, led by Devon County Council, aims to lower youth unemployment rates, raise awareness of social enterprise and improve youth services.
