The project aims to improve the competitiveness of the naval sector
The International Forum, taking place on the 14th of May in Vigo, will discuss how new technologies can help the Atlantic shipbuilding sector remain competitive, and will bring together naval sector companies and experts in the five technologies identified as suitable for implementation in shipbuilding: artificial vision, augmented reality, monitoring, robotics, collaborative platforms. This conference is part of the IN 4.0 project, which is led by the Provincial Council of Pontevedra (DEPO) and co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund through Interreg Atlantic Area.
The IN 4.0 project aims to enhance the competitiveness of the naval sector in the Atlantic Area through the implementation of new technologies, so as to face the challenges of an ever more competitive market. IN4.0 works on several levels to find solutions to issues such as adaptation barriers of the industry, retraining of staff and reduction of costs.
