The relationship of the territories of the European Atlantic coast is not a recent development. For centuries, the sea has woven a close relationship between islands and continent which is reflected in many aspects of the culture and identity of the Atlantic peoples. Different institutions have struggled in recent decades to restore, preserve and disseminate material heritage of this relationship: buildings, paintings, boats, etc., but what about intangible heritage?
Legends, customs, language, music and other manifestations that are common to the entire Atlantic Europe have not received the attention of the research community and have not been exploited as a common cultural heritage and an element that energizes relationships and economy between different regions that make up the Atlantic area.
From City of La Laguna propose this project whose main objective is to research, inventorying, managing and value all the intangible heritage as a tool of cultural cohesion for the Atlantic and as an opportunity for economic effects of direct use by industry tourist and cultural industry.
