The project WeRecycle is oriented to the objective of improving the protection and management of the environment of the Atlantic area, as well as to increase levels of efficiency in the use of natural resources, reducing environmental problems associated to it, to through greater education and social awareness.
In this way, we want achieved the development of a model of sustainable economy in the Atlantic area, promoting new methods of management of waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE), through transnational cooperation to optimize and improve efficiency in the processes of collection, storage , transport and final disposal of such waste.
Thus, the issue to be tackled by the project is the low performance of national WEEE management systems in the participating regions regarding resource efficiency and circular economy.
