The overarching aim is to create a European wide unique visitor experience bringing to life the cultural stories of pilgrim trails/historic figures/folklore/fables (Legends of the West) along the waterways of the Atlantic area partner regions. The Legends of the West trail would follow and utilise the natural waterways infrastructure to try and increase usage and stimulate economic development and tourism along these natural assets.
