To develop a combined socio-economy strategy for the Western Region collectively addressing the most significant challenge here - to reverse the high levels of unemployment, endless migration & immigration of people from this part of Ireland, where this trend had continued since the foundation of the state. In addressing this challenge this region seeks not only to reverse this reality but to make the region/s a significant driver of National & EU growth. By drawing on economic experiences of other EU regions this project will transform the Western regional economy to double recent economic performance.
