GEOATLANTIC project presentation, Ourense
Boosting local ecosystems for the use of geothermal energy in the communities
GEOATLANTIC project will meet this week in Ourense to present this project led by Concello de Ourense (Spain) and composed by 6 representatives from the five Member states.
With a total budget of 2.8 million euros and for 3 years, this project aims to promote the use of geothermal energy in the communities through the joint development of tools and methodologies that make possible the creation of favourable local ecosystems, both for heat and power. The project will act on the improvement of the knowledge and capacities of the different actors, the support of innovation and technology transfer, as well as the launch of local policies and pilot demonstrations for the use of geothermal energy.
This project is funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) through the Interreg Atlantic Area Programme.
