ARCWIND project kick-off meeting, Lisbon

Adaptation and implementation of floating wind energy conversion technology for the Atlantic region

The ARCWIND project (Adaptation and implementation of floating wind energy conversion technology for the Atlantic region) will have its first meeting on the 13 and 14 November in Lisbon.  The main objective of this project is driving the floating wind energy forward to become a major contributor of Green Energy in the Atlantic Area regions.

The project is led by IST/CENTEC and the partnership involves 15 organizations from the five Atlantic Area countries and five associated partners, which will meet during two days to plan the initial actions of the project. ARCWIND is being funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) through the INTERREG Atlantic Area Programme with a budget of 3,9 million euros.
