Sea level rise and natural heritage: swamped forests of the Atlantic coast 2016-05-26 08:11:09
Relying on the existence of swamped forests or peatbogs along the Atlantic coast as a letmotiv, we aim with this project locate and catalog Holocene and End-Pleistocene forms and deposits, which record changes in ecosystems and sea level and currently at risk of disappearing, not only by the natural coastal dynamics but also by direct human action. And along with cataloging, their study and enhancement towards their protection by the competent authorities.
